Welcome to 2020 and the band's 140th anniversary. An exciting year lies ahead and the band has now become a registered charity - Cleethorpes Band Charitable Incorporated Organisation - the organisation should enable the band to continue atleast another 140 years!
Happy Christmas everybody
all players, supporters and ex players are invited to a fun evening in the band room from 7:30pm on Sunday 22nd Dec. Bring an instrument or we'll sort one out for you.
Congratulations to Rob West who won the Best Instrumentalist prize at the Rochdale Contest. “Absolutely stunning Euphonium” said the adjudicator. The whole band are absolutely delighted for him – well deserved and long overdue recognition. The band as a whole put in a solid performance and came a very creditable 5th in a strong field.
A special Brass Band England 'Outstanding Contribution to the Brass Band Sector' Award was presented to Heidi Bradley for her work in providing the blueprint structure for the hugely successful BandSafe training initiative which has now been utilised by hundreds of bands throughout the UK. Heidi plays solo trombone in the Cleethorpes Band.
Congratulations Heidi - we are all very proud of you!
