Heidi recognised by NSPCC 11/11/2018

We are very proud of the our Solo Trombone player Heidi Bradley for being afforded national recognition from the NSPCC and Brass Band England for her BandSafe initiative.

Heidi conceived the idea through her professional work with Athletic Clubs throughout the Country who train and coach young people. Becoming aware of possible issues and identifying similarities with the Brass Band movement, she drew up and produced a policy and guidelines that have been adopted by Brass Band England to safeguard bands and young players.  Over 300 bands around the country have signed up to compliance.

The NSPCC invited Heidi to do a presentation to over 200 delegates who deemed her work an excellent example of good practise in the protection of young people generally, and the Brass Band movement specifically.

Well done Heidi!!
